Internet Security
Payday Land takes your online security very seriously and we are committed
to keeping your private information safe. As a member of the Fraud
Prevention Forum (FPF), we want to remind you to exercise caution
when conducting online activities.
Phishing/Brand
Spoofing, the most common form of online fraud, involves
sending fake e-mail messages tricking people into providing personal
information (username, passwords, and credit card details, etc.),
for the purpose of committing identity theft and/or other crimes. As Phishers evolve, they find new ways to deceive unsuspecting people,
even using corporate logos, colours, and legal disclaimers to make
it appear as though the fake e-mail and website are real. Still,
recognizing phony e-mails and knowing how to proceed are key steps
you can take to protect yourself.
